FAREWELL, BETTIE BOO

We had to say farewell to one of our best friends today. It was so hard to do the right thing, but that was the story of this little rescue dog’s life. She’s done more for us than we were ever able to repay. We’ll forever be the crazy chihuahua family because of her.

Farewell, little Bettie. Stay outside as long as you want, run like you haven’t been able to run in ages, and steal all the cat food you like. You gave it the good fight, and gave us the best years of your life. We love you so much.

When the time comes, and the road curves ahead to a place we cannot see, we give one final gift and let them run on ahead – young and whole once more.

“Godspeed, good friend,” we say, until our journey comes full circle and our paths cross again.
